MONDAY NIGHTERS!!
Who are the Monday Nighters?
We are a group of members who meet, would you believe, every Monday night at
8pm in the Art Theatre to undertake any jobs that we feel we can help to
save the Theatre Money.
Our skills are many and enthusiasm plenty.
There are many areas that still need approaching and extra bodies or new
teams to take on the challenge.
The next big challenge is the state of the Entrance Foyer. After recent
rains there was a substantial amount of decoration ruined by water ingress
to the left hand side of the entrance door – is there a team that will take
on the challenge to redecorate and upgrade this whole area?
The fire escape at the rear of the theatre needs wire brushing and
repainting to protect it from the winter. Also the concrete plinth at the
top of this escape is letting water seep through and will eventually rot the
steel reinforcement, this area needs cleaning off, sealing and reskimming
with a water resistant concrete – Jobs for the daylight hours – Any
volunteers this should only take a couple of days.
If you can help with any of these projects or can see an area that needs
attention please come along to the Theatre any Monday night you will be more
than welcome as the maintenance of this unique building is our future.
